BBC Radio 4 Today programme

It was a joy to guest edit the BBC Radio 4 Today programme over the Christmas period, it gave me the opportunity to expand on my mantra which is ‘Childhood lasts a lifetime’. I explored one of the biggest influences on children’s lives… media content. It was important to me to highlight the crisis which is happening because of the lack of quality of older children’s content. Many are migrating to online platforms and watching inappropriate adult material. My guests, including the Secretary of State Lisa Nandy MP, author Malorie Blackman and the Head of Children’s BBC Patricia Hidalgo, also expressed their concerns. The positive response from the public and the media has been enormous.
