Touching Success
Touching Success is aimed at children and young people especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds and culturally diverse communities.
Over the years I have spent a great deal of time visiting schools, projects, colleges, giving inspirational talks. Now I have decided to create a focused programme to help young people develop a vision for their own future, build the skills to develop self belief, to reach for the sky and feel self worth.
Helping these young people to develop confidence, self awareness, ambition and a sense of purpose is the first step on the road to success. But success does not mean being a millionaire footballer or a pop star, it means being successful in life and reaching your full potential in whatever field you choose, be it a lawyer a doctor, a shop assistant or a police officer.
This will be achieved through a programme of inspirational talks, visits from successful people from all walks of life, role-playing and development of presentation and social skills.
I have collected together a group of highly successful and prominent individuals who have pledged to help me. They will arrange for groups of young people to visit them at work as well as visiting schools to give motivational talks.
These are some of the organisations that my ‘Touching Success’ inspirational contributors represents:
- Bank of England
- Royal Opera House
- National Film & Television School
- Royal Air Force
- Lambeth Police
- BFI
- BAFTA
- Arlington Sharmas Solicitors
- Campbell Hooper Solicitors
- Royal Free Hospital
- Voice Newspaper
- National Lottery
- IVCA
- OFCOM
It means doing well, having an open mind and not being restricted from doing anything you desire. So many young people just don’t believe they can excel and achieve success. So it is my mission to show them that through hard work and commitment they can become anything they want.
